Picked out a new faucet? We set it firm on the counter, hook it up with fresh lines, and stay until the cabinet floor stays bone dry.

Why this happens

Swapping a faucet sounds like a Saturday job, and sometimes it is. What turns it into a headache is everything under the counter. Fifteen-year-old stop valves that will not budge. A plastic line that is two inches short. Mounting nuts welded on by mineral crust. A quartz top so thick the kit hardware cannot reach. We sort all of that out before the old faucet leaves, so you are not stuck with a dead kitchen halfway through.

What our crew checks

  1. Stop valves

Closed and watched. If water still sneaks past, we put in a new quarter-turn stop.

  2. Sink holes

We count holes and measure spacing so your faucet lines up, or we add a deck plate.

  3. Counter thickness

Stone tops can run thick. We confirm the mounting hardware actually reaches.

  4. New supply lines

Cut to length so they hang loose, clear of the disposal and anything sharp.

  5. Dry cabinet test

Water on full, sprayer pulled, and a paper towel under every joint.

Ways we can fix it

Option 1

Faucet only

Your valves are healthy and the holes match. Quickest version.

Option 2

Faucet and valves

Old stops get replaced while the water is shut off anyway.

Option 3

Layout change

Fewer holes, an added filter spout, or a new hole cut in stone.

While you wait for us

Quick tip from the crewClear out the cabinet below the sink, including cleaning supplies and the trash can. Leave your new faucet in its box so we can go through the parts together. If you have not bought one yet, we are happy to suggest a few.

Out here on the west side

Faucet Installation near Alamo Ranch and Westover Hills

Builders in Alamo Ranch and Westover Hills went with the cheapest chrome stops they could buy, and Edwards Aquifer water has been crusting them ever since. On far west side faucet calls, we try every stop before we start. A valve that snaps off in your hand turns a simple job into a flooded sink base.

Faucet Installation FAQ

I already bought my faucet. Is that okay?

Totally fine. We open it, make sure nothing is missing, and confirm it fits before we pull your old one.

Should the stop valves get changed?

When they are the originals, we usually suggest it. It is a cheap add-on while everything is shut down.

Do motion-sensor faucets need electricity?

Many run on a battery box. Others want an outlet in the cabinet, so we look for one first.
